SASKATOON, CANADA. (August 2008). In search of a lens capable of producing a Kodachrome look, I picked up a used Tamron Adaptall-2 28mm f2.5 (circa 1979) for $42 at Cheng's Camera Repair in Saskatoon. The lens performs admirably on my Olympus E-Series body, featuring vintage color reproduction and film-like grain in the final results. Original photo properties: Olympus E-410 dSLR, Tamron Adaptall-2 28mm f2.5 lens (56mm, 35mm equivalent), handheld, manual focus and exposure, matrix metering, 1/80s f2.5, ISO 200, 3648 x 2736 pixels, RAW.

SASKATOON, CANADA. (August 2008). With a maximum aperture of f5.6, the Zuiko Digital 14-42mm lens is considered a little slow on the long end for many portrait situations. However, in decent light or with the assistance of a flash, good results are still possible. Original photo properties: Olympus E-410 dSLR, Zuiko Digital ED 14-42mm lens at 42mm (84mm, 35mm equivalent), handheld, single autofocus, manual exposure, spot metering, pop-up fill-in flash fired, 1/125s f5.6, ISO 200, 2560 x 1920 pixels (after crop), RAW.
