EDMONTON, CANADA. (May 2006). The famous editor of starfish and waffles and dingobear photography celebrates my birthday over a triangular plate of chocolate cupcakes. One of my favourite pictures. Available for sale as cards. Equipment: Olympus SP-310.

OVER THE FAROE ISLANDS, NORWEGIAN SEA. (May 2006). Blue skies to the ends of the Earth, as captured from a window seat of Icelandair Flight FI205, en route to Reykjavík from Copenhagen. Equipment: Olympus SP-310.

COPENHAGEN, DENMARK. (May 2006). This is the kind of picture I'd never be able to take in North America. So many elements here - the bicycle, the post box, the cobblestones - simply say "welcome to Europe." Equipment: Olympus SP-310.

REYKJAVÍK, ICELAND. (May 2006). Looking down Skólavörðusigur to Reykjavík Harbour, from the belltower of Hallgrimskírkja. I, for one, am glad that I went to school in Canada and not Iceland because I, for sure, would have failed Icelandic spelling class. Picture available for sale as prints, stock, cards and wall art. Equipment: Olympus SP-310.

LANCELIN, AUSTRALIA. (June 2000). Six years ago, I carefully weighed my options and decided it was more important to take the first available flight to Australia and go backpacking rather than attend my university convocation. Reflecting back, it was a good decision. Lancelin, a sleepy lobsterfishing port situated on the beautiful white sands of the Indian Ocean coast, would become one of my favourite stops along the way. In the picture above, Toby, the resident dog of the Lancelin Lodge, takes a break after a long afternoon of playing "fetch". Equipment: Kodak F300 APS.
