EDMONTON, CANADA. (January 2011). In 2011, the bear is still king :) ... and the love affair with instant cameras continues. Is the Fujifilm Instax 210 instant camera the modern-day Polaroid? Purists balk that Fuji's Instax film is almost too good and, therefore, lacks soul. I tend to disagree - the fun, heart, and instant gratification of seeing a photo develop right before your eyes certainly aren't lost on these new Fujis, and this is what matters. Permanent photo link here. Original photo properties: Fujifilm Instax 210 instant camera with Fujinon 95mm f14 lens, Fuji Instax Wide film (ISO / ASA 800), close-up lens attached, built-in flash diffused with Charmin toilet paper(!), handheld, zone focused, JPEG scanned from instant print.

EDMONTON, CANADA. (November 2009). For available-light photography and thin depth of field, there's no substitute for fast lenses. Here's a test shot from my new Panasonic Leica D Summilux 25mm f1.4, one of the few truly wide-aperture options available for Four Thirds cameras. Somewhat rare, this was a difficult lens to track down. Picture available for sale as prints. Original photo properties: Olympus E-410 dSLR, Leica D Summilux 25mm f1.4 ASPH lens (50mm, 35mm equivalent), handheld, single autofocus, manual exposure, matrix metering, 1/60s f1.4, ISO 100, 2671 x 3535 pixels (after crop), RAW.

LUND, SWEDEN. (July 2009). Hello, I'd just like to announce that dingobear photography now has a presence on Zenfolio ... click here, to visit. Thanks for indulging me in this little marketing pitch - and now back to our regularly scheduled programming. Picture (of the bear eating watermelon) available for sale as prints. Original photo properties: Olympus E-410 dSLR, OM Zuiko Auto-S 50mm f1.8 lens (100mm, 35mm equivalent), Manfrotto Tundra NGTT1 tripod, 3-second mirror lock, manual exposure and focus via LiveView, centre-weighted metering, 1s f2.8, 2442 x 2442 pixels (after crop), RAW.
