LANCELIN, AUSTRALIA. (June 2000). Six years ago, I carefully weighed my options and decided it was more important to take the first available flight to Australia and go backpacking rather than attend my university convocation. Reflecting back, it was a good decision. Lancelin, a sleepy lobsterfishing port situated on the beautiful white sands of the Indian Ocean coast, would become one of my favourite stops along the way. In the picture above, Toby, the resident dog of the Lancelin Lodge, takes a break after a long afternoon of playing "fetch". Equipment: Kodak F300 APS.
