Gehry's Guggenheim definitely exceeded my expectations - from an architectural standpoint, I can't think of another contemporary building that's in the same league off the top of my head. In fact, it has to be one of the very favourite museums I've ever visited ... I thought the art in and outside of the museum fit really well with overall vibe of Bilbao - smart, yet fun and accessible. In other words, great atmosphere from top to bottom.
